Dags' Weapons

My new mission is to find cool looking two-handed swords, maces, axes and polearms for Dags.
I have the glyph that will have him randomly equip two of them at a time if I have them in my bag. If I want him to roll around with different ones, I just have to re summon him. I didn't get screenshots of all of the ones I have. I will probably put them in "screenshot a day" blog when I decide to start adding new screenies to that.
My mission is to get Despair from Romulo and Julianne Opera Event Boss in Karazhan.  I had it before and just kept it in my Void Bank but sold it when I was doing some bank cleaning. I noticed the glyph didn't work constantly, but it did state that just the Felguard can equip the random weapons. So I never really pushed to keep them in my bag for Dags who is my Wrathguard.
But then I noticed that he had them more after WoD so now I'm collecting awesome weapons for him :-)
So if anyone on Hyjal finds awesome looking two-handed BoE weapons that they would like to sell to me just CoD them to me.
Ooorrr just give them to me hehe. Kidding, I would gladly pay for them.

So much to do in WoD

I think I'll be in trouble when Valor comes back. I've only ran 2 dungeons this expansion because there's so much to do with Deadskully and my alts, and if I'm not getting Valor or Justice at the moment I really don't have time to sit in a 30-45 minute DPS que only to wipe. Luckly the 2 times I've ran dungeons we never wiped, but close to it. I'll give it a little bit more before I try to go back in and see if fail people still fail.
My Garrisons are majority to blame for my consumption of time I spend ingame. Profession dailies, CDs, garrison resource collecting, along with leveling takes up all my time. Oh and I haven't even got all my toons to Draenor yet.
I'd love to get better gear, grind rep, do achievements on Deadskully, but all those things are taking a back seat to the push to max out my professions on all my toons, and upgrade my Garrisons. So much to do, so much to do...
Actually that's a good thing. It keeps me busy at home that I'm not going out to spend money.
This is really dumb, but the past week, I had to set my alarm sometimes for stuff. Like to eat, take a break, shower, sleep. It's sad really. No it's not a problem, I can stop when I want to... ummm, yeah I can!!!!
Anywhos getting back to my garrisons... So upgraded to level 3 just have to upgrade the rest of my shops. This will take a while, but I've done it many times... and I have a lot of time on my hands... A LOT of time on my hands. :-P

new skins turn off

Sooo... yeah.
a couple weeks ago a friend told me something that would have been useful before I spent 15 bucks on my Tauren Druid's race change. Or!!! if I  just start reading shit on my own. :-P
/sigh... anywhos, After my incessant whining about the new Undead skins after the patch that brought it, I covered up Deadskully's face with a Bandit Mask mog and saw it as a reason/excuse to race change Spammusubi to a Troll.
But anyways my friend Cole was online the whole first night of the WoD launch and we were chatting a bit, and then he tells me about the option to turn off the new skins. And I was like what!?!?!?!? lol seriously. I was excited I got to put my Hallowed Crown back on Deadskully, bummed that I spent $15 on my Druid's race change, but content because it gave me 4 stories: Makeover sadness and Spammusubi's race change (3 parts).
Having the Bandit Mask on Deadskully grew on me, but she needed her crown back... because you know, Princess Skully needs her crown.

First day of WoD

Not a great experience for the first day of Warlords as we saw on many peoples facebook feeds and forum posts. Midnight came around and I was able to play on Hyjal on Horde Deadskully for a bit before the lag and idiots just was too much. So I figured to check out a low pop server and I have my Alliance Deadskully on Lothar so I switched to there. It was so much better. I am currently only 20% away from hitting 93 on that toon. Horde Deadskully is still only 91 so sad.
As I'm writing this I am currently sitting in a Hyjal que that started off at 3063 in que and 78 minutes. Friends posted terrible ques they had for higher pop servers then mine. It was ridiculous. I gave up earlier and figured to try and nap because it was better to play after midnight when everyone is sleeping etc.  The ques and lag was expected, it really was. But I'd like to think that with all the years of releases they would have made successful attempts to prevent the lag. But I won't go into the reason why they said there were actual issues.

next morning:
OK so, my que popped, I logged in and I fell asleep. got logged out, got up, logged back in and fell asleep. and did that 2 more times until I finally fell asleep until 430 am, got up again and said fuck it, and went to my bed. Woke up and felt like hell. At least I'm on my vacation. Don't have to worry about going into work, but can't enjoy my vacation to the fullest because I don't feel good but also because WoW is having "issues" whatever.
Aside for the terribleness of it all I will tell you what I enjoyed.
I really enjoyed the Garrison stuff. There's so much to do and I love stuff like that about the game.  My Garrison for my Alliance is upgraded but my Horde Garrison is still lvl one. Soon I'll get it there. It's funny because I wanna level quick but I wanna poke around with Garrison stuff it's distracting me from my level 100 mission. Meh it's ok. Ohh and now while I'm questing on Horde, I'm finding that the Alliance quests are easier for some reason. And I enjoy the landscape of the Alliance side of Draenor better. Alright, I'll end this now because I just got kicked off of WoW again and I can't log back in and I need to go clean my house or something :-)

The Day has come!!!!!: Warlords of Draenor launch

Yes, I request off of work for a game release (expac in this case)
Yes, I use my vacation time for just sitting at home and playing video games
Yes, I will have several days/nights of no sleep
No, I will not shower for several days
No, I will not step outside my front door

I know this list can go on but I will stop it here.
I am extremely excited for tonight. Hopefully work goes by fast and without any issues. I will be closing with Robin now so no napping before midnight.
First expansion in a long time I will be going in blind. I was not given a beta key this expac. As extremely bummed as I was, I thought of it like this: Discover things for the first time with majority of the world. meh, nvmd that was a shitty attempt at trying to make myself feel better for not getting into beta. What the fuck ever! :-P
Anywhos, I have not read anything not even that launch guide link I posted on my FB feed. Having done the betas for the other expansions, It was always a race to hit max level the quickest I could possibly go and then go back and explore. You're at an advantage of course, because you know the quests and dungeons etc. It will be slow for me this time. I will not rush anything, BUT I hope it won't take me all my 6 vacation days to hit 100. that would suck.lol
I made sure to move all my screenshots to my hard drive and free up the folder on my desktop for a shit load of new screenshots. I am the screenshot Queen and expect nothing less in the first week of this expansion. I will try to keep up with my "Screenshot-a-day" blog. 8/24/14 was my last post in that. I'll try to keep up with that one.
I am excited for garrisons. I wanted to get the beta mainly to poke around with that. That will be my new hangout like Halfhill was in MoP. Screenies I've seen so far are so beautiful of the landscape of Draenor I'm so excited.
Finally I will end this by saying that I will attempt to not sleep for the first few days, but we'll see. I am not going to go with energy drinks... just Mountain Dew and candy... put myself into a sugar coma instead of sleeping. aye!

League of Legends attempt

My attempt at playing League of Legends was a bust. I can't get into it.
Come to think of it, when I was introduced to WoW I wasn't all that thrilled about it at first. PC/Online gaming, playing with a keyboard instead of a controller in my hands was just weird. I guess like with everything, the more you play it, the more you get used to it. And like a creature of habit, if it doesn't play like WoW, I don't like it and just say "meh, it's not for me".
Of course I was excited to play with Jinx. Hot, punky outlaw with awesome hair and badass toys. My favorite to use was her Super Mega Death Rocket of course.  Blast the shit out of the enemy and everything around it as it travels to it's target.
Her quotes are awesome too.
''Oh look - I'm opening my box of care! Oh wait - it's empty!''
"I'm trying to care but I just can't!"
"I'm crazy! Got a doctor's note."
"Ask me if I'm listening! Hint: I'm not!"
What made my first experience somewhat fun, I was that I was put into 5v5 with cool people that knew what they were doing. They crushed everything as I died many times. getting used to the controls was the challenging part really. This pic was not of my match. I couldn't take screenshots, meh. no biggie. Not wanting to remember a lot of what I did or failed to do rather.

Blizzcon Weekend

Such an Awesome Blizzcon!!! From start to finish so epic. Pre show Hearthstone Tournament all the way to the end of the show Metallica closed it out. Announcement of new Blizzard game Overwatch.
I know it's over now but I still go back and forth about my decision to not physically go versus just getting the virtual ticket. Not regret, just that kicking rocks feeling.
Lets break this down shall we....
Pros of going to Blizzcon:
  • Loot bag = Which this years one didn't look all that great
  • See friends and meet guildies = For me is just a couple friends, I don't roll with a guild
  • Play the new games = Overwatch!
  • Win Prizes = 2010 I won my Razor beenie
  • See the game inventors and celebrities
  • After Parties hosted by game affiliates. 2010 Curse after party
  • It's a unique experience that seldom you will recreate the next year with everything changing.
Pros of buying the Virtual Ticket:
  • Saved over a hundred bucks on Blizzcon ticket
  • Saved over a hundred bucks on plane ticket to Cali
  • Saved over two hundred bucks on hotel
  • Saved over a hundred bucks on food expenses
  • Saved over two hundred bucks on crap from the Blizzstore = impulse buyer
  • Not have to fight with crowds = I saw the footage of them opening the doors.
  • Not have to stand in lines
  • I have to pee, yay my own bathroom, no line
  • I'm hungry, yay my own fridge, no line... and it's free!
  • I can rewatch for a week to see panels and tournament matches I missed.
  • I'm tired, I'ma go take a nap. thank you recliner. ZZZzzzz...
  • People... I just hate people and crowds
  • I can play WoW along with watching Blizzcon
That last two are reason enough.
But in all seriousness. It is a great experience and in a small way I am bummed, but I know for someone like me, the cheap antisocial recluse, this was the best option. Saved me money and didn't take me out of my comfort zone. I'm glad the Virtual Ticket is an option, because although I won't experience it in person, I can see everything when everyone attending does. For example when they announced Overwatch, friend text me, and I text back "Yes I know... I'm watching it".
